Cootie Brown's

One of my most favorite places whether in Johnson city, Bristol, or the new place at ETSU. They stay busy because the food is good, and there's enough variety to eat it a couple times per week if you wanted. I highly recommend, a perfect place to get great food and avoid the chain restaurants

It's Friday afternoon and it's the first nice afternoon we've seen in awhile. Like everyone else, at 12:15, we were looking for a nice place for lunch. We parked at the real back end of Cooties parking lot, and after a bit of a walk, were not encouraged to see a significant line at the door. The place was buzzing. My husband asked me if I wanted to wait. I figured I would give a benefit of the doubt, and said yes. I was in for a pleasant surprise 😉. The line at the front door disappeared within 5 minutes flat. And we were escorted to a perfect window table to appreciate the afternoon. I wasn't aware that Cooties had a phenomenal selection of beers. I was just thrilled to be able to enjoy a Corona with my Friday lunch. And then I had my choice of a huge list of upscale salads on the menu. Excellent! Hubby had a beer brat sandwich that he enjoyed tremendously. Our server, Whitney, took perfect care of us, and this place was a slam dunk for us. We'll definitely be back.

The food and the service are great! They have a wide menu of delicious options (but I usually go for the black bean nachos).
